Life is a journey......enjoy it

Hi, my name is Terry and I live on Long Island in the great state of New York. I am recently widowed and presently live with my soon to be 15 year old beloved Bichon, Gracie, and a semi-adopted Doberman named Schooner. (She's my friend's dog, but she has seemingly adopted ME)!
By profession I am a recreation therapist for the disabled. Following a serious fall that damaged both of my knees, and then later developing severe back issues, I was forced to make the difficult decision to end my tenure in my field.
As they say, one door closes and another one opens. My husband always told me to "enjoy the journey." So this chapter in my life is about trying to find myself a new normal and spread my wings a little. Starting a blog was something I've thought about for awhile, but never had time to actually do. Now things have changed and, with the encouragement and support from my dearest friends, here I am.
My interests are many, from cross stitch, sketching, watercolor painting, bullet journaling, crochet and scrapbooking to playing Mah Jongg, watching old movies and the occasional binge watching of Netflix. However, two pastimes are my favorite, and those are knitting and reading. Hence, knit, read, repeat!
This blog is purely my own. Any opinions, reviews, etc. are soley my own. I offer them only as information from one knitter/reader to another and only in the spirit of sharing.
